The results of the 2021 General Certificate of Education Advanced Level Examination were released yesterday (28). With the arrival of the Corona virus, schools and extra classes were severely hampered. There is no doubt that the interest of the children gradually decreased as the exam got delayed day by day. However, it was observed that there are students who have achieved excellent results despite a very difficult period.
Out of this, the student of Batticaloa – St. Michael’s College Tamilvan Tuvakesh has managed to get the first place in the island in the biology department.
Sahan Amarakon, a student of the Royal College of Colombo, has won the first place in the island in mathematics, and Ishara Lakmal, a student of the Badulla-Kandagolla High School, has won the first place in the island in the art department.
Isini Neha Amararatne, a student of Gampaha Ratnawali Girls’ College, has won the first place in the island in the commerce section.
Also, Isuri Pabasara Lokupathira’s student has won the first place in the island in the biotechnology section.
And Neranda Dilhara Kumarasinghe of Narammala Mayurapada College has managed to get the first place in the island in the engineering technology department.
