Actress Damitha Abeyratne was ordered to be released on two personal bails of Rs. 500,000/- each by the Fort Magistrate’s Court.
Earlier, Sri Lankan actress Damitha Abeyratne, who was a member of the Aragalaya protests, was remanded to the 14th of September by the Fort Magistrate’s Court.
Actress Damitha Abeyratne was arrested on Wednesday, the 7th of September while taking part in a protest-themed ‘The Silent Hour’ at the Parliament Round-about opposite Diyatha Uyana.
Sri Lanka Police said that the actress was arrested for unlawful assembly, unlawful entry to the President’s Office, and other charges.
