Namunukula is one of the most beautiful mountain range in Wellasse. The name Namunukula is given to it because it consists of nine peaks that make the whole Badulka beautiful. This mountain peak is the 12th highest mountain in Sri Lanka.
Mount Namunukula is very popular among tourists in Lanka. The mild rainy weather with cool weather allows tourists to enjoy the beauty of nature as well as get a lot of cool experiences from Namunukula Tarana. To be honest, this is a great place to go to take a break from the busy life.
After arriving in Badulla town, take the Memale bus to Nallamale and from there you can start climbing the hill by a water road a little further up along the tea estate.
After going to the top of the mountain, you can see beautiful surroundings as well as two Buddha statues and a statue of Indika, the ruler of this mountain. Climbing Namunukula mountain is quite difficult. But the beauty to be experienced along with this bitter journey cannot be expressed in words.
